Our DKP System

The fundamental goal of this loot system is to ensure fair and proper distribution of loot. This, we think, will benefit the guild in it's goal of raid progres. While no loot system is fair and will always have flaws from somebody's angle, what we have proposed is according to us the fairest means possible. Raid attendance and participation in the guild will be rewarded with loot and in turn this loot will help the guild to progress. By attatching the loot to participation it will reward those most dedicated. Comments and tips regarding the DKP system are very welcome and will, ofcourse, be considerd.

Basis for Rules

1. DKP will only be in use on raids witouth PUG's and not in Naxxramas normal or Obsidian Sanctum normal.
2. DKP is gained by raid attendance.
3. Penalties will apply for being late and for not showing up to a Raid.
4. Changes to the loot/DKP rules may be required and these will be discussed and agreed with the officers and communicated to all members prior to a raid commencing.
5. Challenges to the rules should be made offline and on the forum, not during raiding.

Gaining DKP

1. On time to Raid earns 4 DKP bonus (19:15 is the 'invite' time, 19:30 you are late and going to be replaced)
2. Every Hour of raid: 4 DKP.
3. If you've signed up and show up: 4 DKP.
4. For every player who helped to bring down a new boss another 10 DKP will be awarded (this because it takes a lot of time and energy to bring a new boss down).
5. At the end of every raid every player gains 40 DKP.

Losing DKP

1. You can buy epic loot at predefined prices.
2. You can be penalised for dissrespecting your friends and fellow members and not showing up to raids that you have signed upto. We do not wish to do this and this will be a last resort
3. Not showing up when signed up will be penalised by losing 20 DKP

Loot Priority

(Same priority as previously, now with DKP)
1) Each item has a preset DKP cost (see below)
2) The Loot-Master will tell the Raid which class and build can buy the item.
3) In order to buy you must have sufficient DKP to pay for the item.
4.1) Person with the highest DKPwill win the item and the person will pay DKP.
4.2) If there are no buyers, due to lack of DKP, then the roll is opened further to allow players to go into negative DKP (must have positive DKP).
4.3) If there are still no buyers, due to lack of DKP, then the roll is opened further to allow players already with negative DKP to bid and go further into debt.
4.4) If no full member wants the loot for primary role then trial members with DKP can bid. (Note: A trial member does not have the right to go into negative DKP unless this is agreed by the Raid Leader).
4.5) If nobody wants the item for their primary role then the loot is open to off spec classes to roll and pay as appropriate.
5.) If nobody wants the item at all and it is BOP it is sharded. All shards go into a bank to be used at a later date for the good of the guild. Unwanted BOE items will be sent to the guild bank and will be available to buy with DKP points.
6.) Nobody is to bid on a BOE so they can sell in the AH to make gold. All BOE must be seen to be equipped if a members wins it.

Item Costs

- 60 DKP 'normal' epic drops
- 80 DKP for Tier 7,5 epics
- 120 DKP Tier 8 and Tier 8,5 epics
- 30 DKP offspec epics

Epic Patterns will not cost DKP and will be an open roll for those full members who have 450 in the appropriate trade skill. Any BOE pattern must be learned during the raid and definitely not sold on AH. Therefore if the pattern creates a BOP item, that is what you're rolling for, so THINK before you roll.

DKP Administration

1.The Raid leader is given the role of Loot Master and is responsible for upkeep of the DKP administration.
2. Within 24hrs of the end of each raid an updated DKP list is issued to the open forum.
3. Any challenges/mistakes must be highlighted to the Loot Master (on the forum) as soon as possible. If they are posted late, i.e. Within 24 hours of the start of the next raid then there is no guarantee that they will be looked at, let alone actioned.
4. It is a player's own repsonsibility to check thier DKP pre raid and keep track during a raid of any expenditure.
5. Penalties are not nice and will not be issued without suitable justification.
6. Right to appeal: All members will have a right of appeal and these will be heard in Private before the next raid takes place and ASAP.

When shall we use DKP?

- DKP isn't used on Naxx 10 to buy itmes, going to Naxx 10 to help new members will be awarded the normal amount of DKP.
- DKP will be used in all other guildruns without the use of PUGs. If a PUG needs to come along all players will gain the normal DKP, but there will be rolled for items without DKP being spent (f.e. in naxx 25 or ulduar25)

All guildmemebers can check www.gsdkp.com/EU/argent_dawn/purple_sky
All guildmembers should been added to the DKP list (please check if you're enlisted).

Clarifications
I got a repeating question about the website (www.gsdkp.com/EU/argent_dawn/purple_sky) as to where people can see there DKP. It's on the second tab starting from the left called 'DKP standings'

We've been trying out the new DKP system for a bit now, we now see that some people have to much DKP. We need to make the DKP people earn lower, the costs will stay the same. Everyone will loose 50% of their DKP to set the DKP lower, that way people who are the highest now will still remain that way.
I'll change the gaining of DKP in the original post.
